THIS IS JEOPARDY!...contestants in charcoal or ink
In lieu of leisurely life-drawing, I challenged myself in the latter part of 2015 to do speed drawing of Jeopardy contestants. I didn't pause the program so I had to get the essence of a person in the brief moments that they're on screen, fractions of seconds at a time. To add to the difficulty, I sketched in either charcoal or ink (nothing erasable).
But before we get to the contestants, we must have Alex Trebek, the One Host to rule them all. Unlike the super quick doodles of the contestants, I gave myself about 20 minutes to sketch Alex from a photo and directly in ink without under-drawing with a pencil or any erasing.
One of these days, I may draw Ken Jennings, Alex's successor.

Some of the contestant drawings are more caricatures while others are more realistic. Which do you prefer?
